@euineswatini Lights Up the 2025 Bushfire Schools Festival.
The 14th edition of the European Union Bushfire Schools Festival was officially launched at House On Fire under the theme "Art as the Driver in the Pursuit of Sustainability".
Sponsored by the European Union in Eswatini, this year's festival is set to ignite imaginations and inspire action with a vibrant showcase of youth-led creativity and sustainability solutions, bringing together young minds from across Eswatini to explore how the arts can uplift and shape a more sustainable and unified future.
H.E. the EU Ambassador, Karsten Mecklenburg, spoke about the importance of soft skills that build creativity and imagination in the flexible economy of the modern world.
Hosted by Thamsanqa KrTC Sibandze, the launch featured speakers and presentations from the Ministry of Education and Training, Umuti from Claiming Ground Creatives, St.
Theresa's High School Environmental club, the Malindza Refugee Camp, and a choral piece by the Vulamasango High School.
The 2025 EU Bushfire Schools Festival Open Day will be held on Thursday, 29 May.
